Mr Ghaffari's practice focuses on complex litigation, commercial and investment treaty arbitration and public international law. He has represented clients across sectors as diverse as investment banking, aviation, automotives, construction and engineering and telecommunications in disputes arising out of joint venture, shareholder, financial services, foreign investment and distributorship and licensing activities among many others. Mr Ghaffari has acted as adviser and advocate in dozens of international arbitrations arising under the rules of the major arbitral institutions. He is co-Chair of the Young International Arbitration Group of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and a leading member of the firm's Iran Practice Group. Mr Ghaffari's diverse international caseload has included arbitrations sited in jurisdictions across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, conducted under a variety of systems of law and procedural rules including ICc, Dubai Court of International Arbitration, Cairo Regional Centre, Netherlands Arbitraztion Institute. Mr Ghaffari is a qualified Solicitor-Advocate with full rights of audience before the English Courts. He is also admitted to appear before the Courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre. Mr Ghaffari speaks and writes on a variety of arbitration topics including investment arbitration and enforcement issues.
